Who We Are
The Wytheville Farmers Market is comprised of local farmers, gardeners, cooks/bakers and artisans who have a passion for farming, gardening, and producing food and handmade crafts. The items sold by our vendors come from both large farms and backyard gardens located throughout the six counties surrounding Wytheville.
The produce sold at the farmers market is never more than just a few days old, and was often harvested the day of or the day before the market, leaving customers with a healthier and fresher alternative to pre-packaged chemically preserved food sold elsewhere.
County extension agents visit each vendor to certify that they are producing the items they sell at the farmers market and are located in Wythe County or counties adjacent to Wythe County. Our vendors are required to follow all Virginia food safety laws, giving patrons to the farmers market added confidence, knowing that in addition to being the freshest food around, the food sold at the farmers market is also very safe and healthy!

Our Mission
The Wytheville Farmers Market has a two-fold mission:
1) Our primary mission is to offer the local residents of Southwestern Virginia with a credible and safe place to purchase locally produced fresh foods at affordable prices.
2) A second goal of the Wytheville Farmers Market is to provide local farmers, gardeners, food producers, and artisans with an opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals to share their individual knowledge and expertise, give back to the community, and provide a profitable place for local harvests to be sold in a casual yet professional manner.
